Fr. Provincial, Jacek Nosowicz OMI, travelled to Poland these days to participate in the extended council meeting of the Polish Province, with which we have close ties of cooperation. It is a meeting of the provincial administration, superiors of Delegations and Missions of the Polish Province, those responsible for Oblate works and superiors of local religious communities. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the current situation of the Province as well as the implementation of the goals previously set.
While in Poland, Fr. Jacek did not fail to visit our Canadian novices in the Novitiate at the Sanctuary of the Relics of the Holy Tree of the Cross near Kielce. There are currently three novices in the Novitiate: Dominic and Matthew from Canada and Ivan from Ukraine. Fr. Provincial had the opportunity to discuss the progress of their formation with the Novitiate Master and spend some time in prayer and fraternal meeting together.
