Vacation is mainly associated with free time, rest, and travel. This is also true in Oblate life, with the exception that vacation time is also a time for special ministry. Many Oblates go on camps with altar servers and young people, go on pilgrimages to the Martyrs' Shrine in Midland, or simply spend their time organizing events with parishioners. Oblates are everywhere where something important is happening, such as the Youth Jubilee in Rome, as well as where they are needed, such as working in the kitchen preparing meals for pilgrims. Oblates are not afraid of challenges, especially during the holidays, because Oblates are missionaries for special missions!
