On the liturgical memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Deacon Jonasz Lalik OMI was ordained a priest by His Excellency Archbishop Francis Leo, Ordinary of the Archdiocese of Toronto.

During his homily, the Minister of the Sacrament reminded the newly ordained priest of what a priest is called to do, and encouraged him to live out his priesthood and ministry in the imitation of the Good Shepherd and Our Immaculate Mother. The ceremony of Priestly Ordination took place in Fr. Jonasz's home parish, St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe in Mississauga, to which he received his first obedience from the hands of the Provincial, Fr. Jack Nosowicz OMI.

We congratulate Fr. Jonasz, embrace him with our prayers and wish him many graces of God in his priestly ministry.
