On June 17, 2025, during a state decoration ceremony event, organized at SPK Dom Polski in Ottawa, Fr. Antoni Degutis, OMI, pastor of Saint Hyacinth Polish Parish in Ottawa received a high Polish State decoration, a Gold Cross of Merit, in recognition of his contribution to preserve and promote the relationship of the Polish diaspora in Canada with the home country. The Cross was presented by the Polish Ambassador to Canada, H.E. Witold Dzielski acting on behalf of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.
