Youth from Oblate Parishes in the GTA came together on a rainy day for a beautiful outdoor Mass and picnic to celebrate together the closing of another pastoral year.
The Oblate Youth Canada End-of-Year Mass was a wonderful gathering at saint Peter's Mission church and Assumption Mission Procure, bringing together about 70 young people and leaders from five parishes. We gave thanks to God for a year of formation, growth, and fellowship. During the celebration, we reflected on the discipleship call and considered the kind of disciples Jesus is calling us to be. Filled with gratitude and hope, we look forward to the many opportunities ahead, including World Youth Day next year and future gatherings that will continue to strengthen our faith and help us grow as disciples of Christ. After Mass the picnic was organized, which was the perfect place for the tiring soccer game and other activities on the field of the property. Thank you to all the young people that came out from St. Casimir’s - Toronto, St. Eugene’s - Brampton, St. Maximilian’s - Mississauga, St. Therese – Courtice, and a special thank you to the Oblate Fathers who came to celebrate the day with the young people. Thank you to Fr. Marcin Serwin, who presided over the Holy Eucharist and delivered the homily, Fr. Jonas Lalik, Fr. Paweł Pilarczyk, Fr. Daniel Janulewicz and Fr. Adam Filas who hosted us. We wish you a wonderful summer, a good rest and see you soon.
