A Transformative Vocations Retreat: A Weekend of Faith and Discernment

A Transformative Vocations Retreat: A Weekend of Faith and Discernment

Tuesday, May 20, 2025

From May 9–11, the Assumption Province joyfully hosted a Vocations Retreat that left a lasting impact on the 13 young adults who participated. Guided by Fr. Marcin Serwin, OMI and Fr. Jonasz Lalik, OMI, the weekend offered a deep and prayerful journey into the heart of vocational discernment.

Centered around the theme of the four steps of discernment, the retreat combined times of quiet meditation, communal prayer, and reflection with meaningful personal encounters. Three Oblate priests—Fr. Pawel Ratajczak, OMI, Fr. Pawel Pilarczyk, OMI, and Fr. Pawel Nyrek, OMI—shared their moving vocation stories, offering insight and inspiration drawn from their own paths of faith.

Participants also learned more about the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate and the steps involved in becoming an Oblate. For many, it marked the beginning of a deeper vocational journey. As they continue to reflect and discern whether to enter the prenovitiate, our prayers accompany them.

May the Holy Spirit guide each heart with wisdom, peace, and courage as they seek God's call.
